Having exploded into the world of breaks with his remix of Beggarman by Smoove and Turrell. Jalapeno records got wind of this and sought out George to produce a follow-up album – “Something Freaky” – which has been played on BBC’s Radio1 and written about in Knowledge Magazine.
In 2011 Georges Perin a long time collaborator and vocalist of “Something Freaky & Funk From The Trunk LP’s” becomes an active member of the Basement Freaks Soundsystem.Together they have performed in more than 10 European countries,made a full European Tour “East Block Tour 2013” and headlined on Farma Project & Reworks Festivals.
Holding a monthly residency at one of the best clubs in Hamburg the Moondoo is not an easy thing,still the international experience of Basement Freaks and the super professional & dedicated team of Moondoo has made it work smoothly and delivering Quality Funk,uncut Funk for over 2 years right in the middle of Germany’s No#1 party street the Reeperbahn of Sankt Pauli!
Basement Freaks has toured extensively throughout Europe & North America – dropping funk at the renowned Glastonbury Festival,the Fabric & Cable Nightclubs in London,WE LOVE Space in Ibiza and the Exit (SRB),Boom (PT),Karkle (LT),FACYL (SP),WTF (HR) Festivals. In the summer of 2011, Basement Freaks headlined the world’s largest and best Breakbeat festival – Shambhala – in Canada.In December 2012 hits Brazil for performing on the World Famous D.Edge Club and headline at NaveGroove#9 Festival in São Paulo.2014 finds Basement Freaks touring all over the globe with shows in Bangkok, Sydney, Vancouver, Calgary, Paris , Ibiza and many more…
