17 Days until Hyperion Music and Arts Festival: A few quick updates | Win a Pair (2) of Tickets to the Festival
Yes, that is right, Hyperion Music and Arts Festival is approaching fast. Before “less than three weeks” becomes “tomorrow” there are a few things that Hyperion-goers need to know. First of all, a festival checklist is a necessity. Feel free to print ours off right here. Secondly the schedule has been released today so be sure to check that out.
The folks at Hyperion have announced that they will have a dunk tank. What better people to throw on the plank than the artists! Members of Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, Cosby Sweater, and many more are going to be risking a good soak between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday. This is why you must always read the contractual fine print as an artist, if you don’t, you might have to play a set and spend some time on a dunk tank. (Kidding). It will be an interesting experience.
Speaking of interesting experiences at festivals, Strange Arrangement will be playing at Hyperion this year. For those that don’t know, Strange Arrangement has been on “pause” since early spring 2013 to “recharge our batteries,” said the website. “Being able to find time to catch our breaths, write new songs, and keep things fresh for our fans has become a daunting issue. We plan on taking this time off to reinvent ourselves in order to hit the road again next summer and beyond to send Strange Arrangement to the next level musically, spiritually, and professionally.” They don’t have tour dates on their website, so this show is kind of a big deal.
It is understandable considering they are apart of many projects, specifically their keyboardist Joe Hettinga, who is a part of Digital Tape Machine. Sensible Reason got a chance to sit down and interview Joe and his fellow bandmate from Digital Tape Machine, Dan Rucinski, at Electric Forest Music Festival. Perhaps we will be able to sit with Joe again and talk about Strange Arrangement.

The rewards systems goes as follows: 75pts- Pre-Party pass; 150pts-Festival Entry; 200pts-Pre-Party and Festival Pass.
Vending and Tickets
Hyperion Music and Arts Festival is offering Vending passes for walkers ($50), 10×10 ft, and 10×20 ft spaces. For walking vendors make sure that a vending pass is purchased because, according to the website, there will be no warnings. Apply for Vending passes here.

Keep in mind that there will not be parking near the venue, but there will be a shuttle running to and from the campgrounds and parking lot.
