AF the Naysayer At BUKU This Weekend – New EP Out Now
Amahl Abdul-Khaliq goes by the name of AF the Naysayer. He is a New Orleans-based, Los Angeles bred producer with a lot of style and a unique class rarely seen. His eclectic electronic and instrumental hip-hop has a lot of heart and a bit of sass. He’s just released his latest EP PARTS: Act 1, the first of a three-part series “combining the pieces of his life and musical career.”
PARTS: Act 1 is a bit of a journey. Only 4 tracks long, the EP features 3 different vocal hip-hop tracks and one instrumental. The lyrical tracks are hard-hitting and personal, bringing the listener to the surface of the intense emotions coming from the songwriter. The one instrumental track is chill yet complex, showing off Amahl’s versatile style and instrumental understanding of music.
AF the Naysayer is playing New Orleans’ BUKU Music + Art Project this weekend. He’ll be showcasing his latest EP PARTS: Act 1 at the #tooBUKU VIP stage on Friday 3/22 in its entirety. Don’t miss his set, and be sure to be on the lookout for the remaining 2 parts to his EP series.
BUKU is sold out, but you can be part of the festival’s ticket exchange found here.
