ARKAEK Presents Acropolis Series Debut Show ft. Liquid Stranger and More
Big things are popping for bassheads in the Central Florida area.
Based out of Orlando, Florida, ARKAEK Presents is an event production company specializing in bass music created in 2015. Founded by Alessio Villa and Noah Jacobson, both UCF students and graduates of Dreyfoos School of the Arts in Palm Beach, the company has booked well-known electronic acts such as SQUNTO, Spag Heddy, and Dubloadz. Approaching their third year as a staple in the Orlando EDM scene, ARKAEK is just getting warmed up.
ARKAEK’s latest project is the Acropolis series. Formed from the latin words ‘akron’ meaning ‘summit’ and ‘polis’ meaning ‘city,’ Acropolis is meant to be the highest point of the month.
“We invite attendees to travel to a new world of higher consciousness, acceptance, including a love for art and music,” says Villa and Jacobson, who both share the same affinity for electronic music as the audiences for whom they throw shows.
The first of many Acropolis shows falls on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 at The Abbey, and features the Swedish-born electronic musician known as Liquid Stranger – a producer described by Generation Bass as the “epitome of Transitional Dubstep, covering everything from Latin, Asian, Eastern European and Jamaican Dancehall dubs.” He is also the founder/owner of Wakaan, a record label and artist collective that represents the likes of Space Jesus, Perkulat0r, Esseks and more. Liquid Stranger is supported by up-and-coming Orlando talent, such as Eazybaked, a dynamic duo who have become a local favorite in the Central Florida area because of their heavy-hitting bass music. Eazybaked is scheduled to perform several festivals including The Untz Festival in California and Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in Okeechobee, Florida, and will also be self-releasing their forthcoming EP ‘Forward’ in March.
Local talent Rest in Pierce and Cosmic Anarchy will be kicking things off for the St.Patty’s day banger. Rest in Pierce has been the obvious answer for direct support for artists such as Space Jesus, Buku, Levitation Jones and more due to his grime-infused galactic bass, and will be cranking the heat up a few notches at the Incendia stage for his Okeechobee set.
Cosmic Anarchy is well-known in the Orlando area for his dark, deep dubstep beats, and loves to keep things interesting by giving the crowd their daily dose of Riddim. He is quickly garnering recognition in the Orlando music scene through his expanding fan base.
Another supporting act goes by the name of Tadeo, an Orlando-based artist with a forthcoming EP release unto LUZCID’s Dream Vault label. On top of being co-founder of ARKAEK Presents, he has 8 years of producing and DJ’ing under his belt, and is excited to unleash his latest musical masterpieces in Orlando this March. There’s no doubt that Tadeo’s drippy soundscapes and futuristic melodies will make for a subtle transition into Liquid Stranger’s world of grime, served up Wakaan-style.
