Art Outside 2015: Henry + The Invisibles [Artist Spotlight]
In just a couple of months, the 11th Annual Art Outside festival will return to Texas’ Apache Pass once more for 4 nights of amazing music, art, and a little bit of everything in-between. The festival is an immersive wonderland full of sights, sounds, friends, and a lot of dancing. This year’s lineup is spectacular, with headliners like Lettuce, Bonobo and Papadosio to name a few. A local favorite, Henry + The Invisibles is also on the lineup this year and we are stoked!
Henry + The Invisibles is a one-man-funk-band manned by the one and only Henry Roland Gutiérrez. The San Antonio Native grew tired of having issues with his band(s) and decided he could do it all himself – so he created the Invisibles! Henry loops his incredible voice along with a Fender Stratocaster guitar, Fender Jazz bass, a flux of keyboard/synth sounds, drums and percussion creates electrifying beats that keep the crowd going and going. It’s hard to believe so many sounds can come from one person! His personality shows through in his performance and it is mesmerizing to watch his songs transform and change throughout the set. There is never a dull moment watching Henry perform, and he is truly a one-of-a-kind artist that everyone needs to see at least once.
