Bang On!NYC’s Creatures of the Night on 4/18
BangOn!NYC, Brooklyn’s favorite warehouse party connoisseurs, will be bringing some of the hottest underground electronic music from around the country to a secret Bushwick location on April 18th. The theme is Creates of the Night so you can expect giant 3D-mapped animals, a glowworm cave chill-area, outdoor silent disco with dueling DJs, aerial circus performers, a zipline, and an interactive, flying UFO hovering over the dance floor. Come dressed in your finest faux fur, animal masks, antlers, or transformative outfits.
They’re bringing in two of Los Angeles’ fastest rising stars from the underground house scene, SNBRN and Dr. Fresch, to give you sexy, grimey, animalistic beats. The lineup also includes an impressive selection of rising Brooklyn-based talent. Get your tickets now HERE for $43.19 total with fees. In May of 2014 Kevin Chapman launched the SNBRN brand with a series of viral covers and remixes. He was quickly met with a series of career milestones including: multiple HypeMachine chart topping releases, garnering millions of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube, and direct support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. With official releases on Atlantic Records, Astralwerks, and Sony UK, Kevin has rapidly solidified the SNBRN brand as an overnight sensation in the indie dance and house music worlds. The first SNBRN single ‘Raindrops feat. Kerli’ was released January 20th on Ultra Records. “Raindrops” has already garnered close to 8 million plays on Spotify and 1.5 million on SoundCloud. It also reached #12 on the iTunes Dance singles chart and #25 on Billboard’s Electronic/Dance Music Chart.
After securing a position as a resident DJ for Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records in 2013, he won Insomniac’s Discovery Project Contest and was chosen to perform at Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernardino, CA. Following his performance at Nocturnal Wonderland, Dr. Fresch went on to release his debut EP on Prep School Recordings, and was featured at #9 on Billboard Magazine’s “Next Big Sound” Chart in November 2013. Since then, Dr. Fresch has gone on to release a massively successful series of remixes, garnering multiple Top 5 spots in Hype Machine’s popular chart, and almost 9,000,000 plays on SoundCloud and millions of plays on YouTube. In Summer 2014, he performed at EDC Las Vegas and on the main stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Global Dance Festival.
Eelrack has been pushing underground music through various projects and monikers for over six years now, while living in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Paris, Chicago, and New York. His conviction about the therapeutic power of quality dance music has brought him to London, Ibiza, Prague, Munich, Ghent (BE) and all over the US to take part in the primordial celebration that is house and techno. Having played five EDCs, two Electric Forests, the Wonderland series, Burning Man, YOUtopia, Infrasound, and an extensive summer 2014 US tour, Eelrack is more than ready for the years ahead. His latest original “Life” not only grabbed the attention of Richie Hawtin’s team but was lauded by Insomniac.com as “precise and unpredictable…a top shelf tune.” Meanwhile YourEDM’s claim that Eelrack’s DJ sets consist of “nothing but the best” has been corroborated by personal praise from dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke.
Treehaus is one of Sensible Reason’s Featured Artists and we’re so excited to see him on this lineup! The electronic brainchild of 22 year old Josh Jacobson, Treehaus is a sensual journey into crisp electronica and pulsating future bass. As a producer, singer and classically trained pianist, Jacobson brings an especially pleasing sense of melody and harmony to a genre that sorely needs it. Often reminiscent of artists like James Blake, Sam Smith, and Wave Racer, the music of Treehaus has something for any kind of music lover. Treehaus has made great progress in a short amount of time; his single “Undergound” was recently featured on Moving Castle Vol. 004. We expect big things from this artist and his set at Creatures of the Night is a must-see!
