It’s no secret that Colorado is home to some of the OG’s in the electronic music scene – and Alex Medellin, aka Late Night Radio, is no exception. This Denver-based artist has been on the grind lately, dishing out some fresh electro-fusion/hip-hop and soul jams like no other. LNR’s style embodies a lush, jazzy sound at all times but doesn’t hesitate to break down with the addition of some heavy bass too. Medellin balances out the vintage sound of his music with hip-hop lyrics, both from himself and from old school originals alike.

Late Night Radio’s track “Medicine” begins light and bouncy with funky horns, then quickly develops into a fuller sound accompanied by glitchy breaks. Soulful female vocals float perfectly along with this track’s jazzy sound and add a sleek, sexy feel to the instrumentals.

Alex has undoubtedly made his mark in the Colorado electronic music scene, and continues to gain popularity nationwide, partially due to his Vinyl Restoration Series comprised of old-school hip-hop and jazz jams. You can check em’ out (and more of his music) on the Late Night Radio SoundCloud page here.

LNR has recently embarked on his ‘Amongst Friends’ Tour April 8th, having his first show alongside The Geek x VRV and Krooked Drivers  in Milwaukee. A few major upcoming tour dates include an appearance at Sweetwater 420 Festival in Atlanta, a show at Wakarusa Music and Arts Festival in Ozark, AR and of course he’ll be funkin’ up the rocks at Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, CO to open up for none other than the one and only Bassnectar. Sadly, only a limited amount of VIP tickets are left for Bassnectar @ Red Rocks, and you can purchase them on the official Bassnectar site. You can also check more of LNR’s tour dates and learn more about Alex at his official site here.
