BassWatch: Rising Star Whipped Cream Shares New Single “Luv”
Since the release of her Persistence EP in 2017, rising star WHIPPED CREAM is making serious waves in the dance music landscape. Heavily influenced by hip-hop and bass music culture, Whipped Cream is currently enjoying a meteoric rise to critical acclaim. Now WHIPPED CREAM is set to cap off a fantastic year with her final single for 2018 entitled “LUV.”
An absolutely hectic hit track, “LUV” is the ideal introduction to WHIPPED CREAM for any newcomers. “LUV” is a brazen and bold blend of breaks and dub that incorporates incendiary percussive elements, wild vocal samples and heavy bass hits to great effect. The track;s surreal and moody official video combines the strangeness of Bjork and the playfulness of Alice in Wonderland. The video’s aesthetic mirrors that of WHIPPED CREAM herself fiendishly pretty, yet stylishly grungy, dark and bizarre.
The brainchild of Caroline Cecil, WHIPPED CREAM’s style transcends a single genre and explores her own musical tastes, which has garnered her support from Skrillex’s blog, NEST HQ, where she released her recent Persistence EP.
She has supported many notable artists and continues to play major venues and festivals, including mainstage festival performances at HARD Summer, Shambhala and Electric Zoo to name a few. Her over-the-top live performances have helped solidify WHIPPED CREAM as an artist to watch, the proof of which can be found in her rapidly growing fan base. With her sighs set on super stardom WHIPPED CREAM is poised for a huge 2019.
