BEATS ANTIQUE, Friday at Irving Plaza
Are you ready for a blend of world music, electronics, and breathtaking performance art? Beats Antique is hitting the stage at Irving Plaza this Friday, October 25, bringing you a one of a kind live show experience. Past shows have combined elements such as belly dancing, animal costumes, marching bands, unique song covers, and crowd surfing inflatable rafts. With their diverse music and performing backgrounds, the group, comprised of belly dancer and producer Zoe Jakes, David Satori, and Tommy Cappel blend together old world and new world sounds.
Beats Antique seems to be one of those acts that can appeal to everyone. Beats brings sounds and rhythms from all around the world that even the closed minded would have a hard time not dancing to. Beats Antique has collaborated with a wide range of talented musicians and producers from Bassnectar to John Popper of Blues Traveler. They recently collaborated with Les Claypool for their new album: “A Thousand Faces – Act 1”.
If you have never seen a Beats Antique show before you’re truly missing out. You will not want to miss this one; their last two shows in NY at Brooklyn Bowl sold out. Tickets for
this show are available HERE.
