Bisco On the Green: Flakes of Gold and Falling Rubies
As the air cools and Colorado‘s epic summer winds down, the town of Denver is getting flooded with end-of-the-season music from every genre. A highly-anticipated event rapidly approaching in September is the return of The Disco Biscuits to their mile-high home away from home. After much uncertainty and a surprise change of venue, the Biscuits are back on track and ready to roll in full force.

Before I really get started, I’d like to make some details about this event clear for the stoners who missed it — BISCO ON THE GREEN LIVES! This event was formerly set to take place at the Sculpture Park in Downtown Denver, but due to unforeseen circumstances and permit issues, the event was forced to move to new venue. But with change and disappointment comes brand new, exciting opportunities for the Biscuits to make history.
Bisco on the Green will now be held at Ruby Hill Park — the site of local’s favorite sledding and snowboarding hill in Denver city limits, the future site of an outdoor amphitheater that will host 50 free shows a year, and the current home of a giant dragon. Fans will make the pilgrimage from all corners of the USA to see the boys play this brand new venue (for both the band AND Denver). Although the neighborhood is hesitant about bringing a large band for three nights in a row straight into their community, I hope we can prove them wrong and be respectable to the site and the community that is allowing the music to go on (until 10pm, that is).
Yes, although there is a curfew, there are still plenty of opportunities to get down! The Disco Biscuits are bringing several amazing opening acts and the Bisco community is bringing some amazing after-parties, complete with special guests and safety shuttles. Below are the details we know:

This event is one of great significance for the fans, the band, and Ruby Hill Park alike. Everyone involved is hoping for a safe, smooth run and not a “Run Like Hell” maniac that tried to kill Magner’s keyboards like last year. See you all on the Hill with your Disco pants on!
