BTSM Church Tour Set to Preach Electro Religion on Florida Run
Typically when you think of being taken to church, your mind envisions things such as an alter, a preacher, the old woman in her “Sunday best” sitting to your right, etc. When Black Tiger Sex Machine takes you to church, you become immersed in the wild world of three futuristic freaks throwing down thrashing electro bangers, adorned in all black and rocking LED tiger helmets, a slightly different look than your typical pastor’s outfit.
Things are heating up on yet another one of BTSM’s infamous Church Tour as they begin the first night of their Florida run this evening in Jacksonville, FL, along with supporting talent from Apashe and Dabin. From there, the crew will tear through Orlando, Tampa, and lastly Gainesville, making the four-night run the most Florida appearances in BTSM history.
Born and raised in Quebec, Black Tiger Sex Machine is composed of Patrick Barry, Marc-Andre Chagnon, and Julien Maranda. Together, the three have perfected the art of hard-hitting, glitchy bass music that presents an undeniably ominous vibe. Classifying their genre as “Futuristic Thriller”, the electronic-trio is surpassing other artists in the game with a live performance and stage energy that is unmatched by many. These Canadian masterminds are focused on much more than just their music – they are the label heads of Kannibalen Records, a brand that represents artists such as Snails, Apashe, and more.
The utilization of live percussion, keyboard, and various other elements on stage creates an overall animalistic and raw experience. It is because of this aggression and presence that the trio have been booked for some of the largest music events all across the country, such as Lollapalooza, SXSW, and TomorrowWorld to name a few.
