BUKU Music & Art Project Returns For 2016
After selling out in 2015 and being one of the most memorable festivals of the year, BUKU Music & Art Project is coming back for a 5th year! Just announced last week, BUKU 2016 is scheduled for March 11 & 12. Early Bird Ticket pre-sale began and sold out almost immediately on Thursday, September 10th. But no worries, general admission tickets are still on sale, including VIP and TOO BUKU.
Held at the historic (and frankly a little creepy) Mardi Gras World in the heart of the Warehouse District in New Orleans, BUKU brings one of the most diverse lineups seen at festivals today, blending together electronic, hip-hop, and indie rock artists. Walking distance from the French Quarter and downtown, BUKU has the perfect setting along the Mississippi River, with the VIP only S.S. Blu-KU sitting in the water.
While the lineup has yet to be announced, last year brought Bassnectar, Flosstradamus, Hudson Mohawk, STS9, and TV on the Radio all to one place. Along with the music, live painters and true characters spend the entirety of the weekend making BUKU as colorful and mysterious as New Orleans itself. Start planning your trip to BUKU now. While the 2015 festival season may be coming to a close, the 2016 festival planning season starts soon. Check out a little bit of what happened last year here.
