BUKU Track of the Day: Mr. Carmack – “Throw Your Chains Off”

BUKU Music + Art Project is bringing a huge range of music to New Orleans next month. Along with a huge lineup, the art aspect of the project can be seen even from its poster. The Port of New Orleans will be bumpin’ with the sounds of Bassnectar, Die Antwoord, Odesza, Flosstradamus, Empire of the Sun, Passion Pit and a ton more alongside some of the coolest art pieces you’ll find. Today’s track of the day comes from one of the many other artists coming to BUKU this year: “Throw Your Chains Off” from Hawaiian producer Mr. Carmack.

Mr. Carmack is changing the game when it comes to his style. His sound reflects ambient, hip-hop, trap, R&B, pop, and house in a unique fashion we’ve never heard before. “Throw Your Chains Off” is uniquely calm, with rhythmic drums and a slow groove that could easily make this track perfect for the end of a romantic evening. It’s a track that calls the listener to strip off all the stress and weight of the world, letting the soothing synth chords take your mind to a better place. If this song isn’t on someone’s “sex list,” it should be. Mr. Carmack has a sound that varies so much, it would be misleading to say that “Throw Your Chains Off” is all that this artist has to offer. Each track is as unique as the last, and today’s track of the day just happens to be a favorite. Check it out! And don’t miss Mr. Carmack at BUKU.
