Camp Bisco Announces Fundraiser Campaign to Aid Tornado Relief Efforts in Schenectady County
Last week, two EF2 tornados touched down in Schenectady County where Camp Bisco calls home. According to local new station WNYT:
The damage in and around Mariaville Lake, in Schenectady County, was wicked and widespread. Once towering trees were either uprooted or else snapped in half like pretzels. Roofs were blown entirely off some buildings, and some buildings were on the verge of imminent collapse.
One tornado had a 17 mile path, was a mile wide, and had winds of 125mph. The damage was widespread, with 7,000 homes left without power, flooding, and substantial property damage. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
In an effort to help Camp Bisco’s home in their recovery effort, they have launched a fundraising campaign through Rally.com. They have a goal of $10,000 to help with the rebuilding effort for Schenectady County. Camp Bisco and MCP Presents asks that you please contribute what you can and help spread the word by posting on Facebook, sending out tweets and posting online the drive to raise money to help rebuild the region.
