Carly Harpur Hollander Wants You To Be A “Little Less Shy”
Hailing from sunny Los Angeles, Carly Harpur Hollander has captured the sounds of west coast pop with her latest single “Little Less Shy”. In Cali, she has been producing her own brand of upbeat, spunky electro-pop drawing inspiration from the likes of MØ, Hailee Steinfeld, and The 1975. Growing up in a musical home her parents constantly exposed her to music, singing and playing guitar most nights rather than watching TV. At a young age, she knew that music would always be part of her life and as she matured music became more than a love and turned into a true pursuit.
Carly’s music is meant to reflect a philosophy of resilience and unbridled positivity. With her newest single “Little Less Shy”, Carly is ready to bring her ethos of unyielding positivity to the masses. Carly’s goal is to continue to make music that will empower listeners and allow them to better understand themselves. Her background in children’s musical theatre shaped the way she uses her songs to tell stories. She has always strived to find new and inventive ways to articulate thoughts and feelings that have been overused in pop music. Her idol for expression is Regina Spektor because of her ability to ‘describe things in a way that no one else can.’
From her experience acting on Showtime’s House of Lies, to winning the award for Best Actress at the Moondance Film Festival in 2015 for her work on The Boy at the Window , to the completion and upcoming release of the Turn Down Your Mind, Open Your Eyes EP, it is evident that Carly has the talent, the flexibility, and the presence to continue to create something unique and long-lasting.
Carly’s upcoming EP Turn Down Your Mind, Open Your Eyes, will be a huge debut for her and with her clear talent and infectious style there is no doubt that it will lead her to even bigger heights in the future. Connect with Carly Harpur Hollander on Facebook and Soundcloud and Facebook.
