Chasing Shambhala: Shambhala Films Presents “Set The Stage”
Back in August of 2016, I tucked away a special part of myself nestled on the banks of the pristine Salmo River. Last year I had the privilege to experience the Shambhala Music Festival firsthand and those incredible few days and nights definitely changed my life. There are tons of festivals that you can choose to spend your hard earned money on, but for me, Shambhala stands above the rest for many reasons that you can read about here in my my reviews of Shambhala 2016 (Coming Home & Stage by Stage Recap). However, beyond all that I saw, heard and felt during my time at the farm what really impresses me about this festival is the organizers’ willingness to connect with their supporters and let us in behind the curtain of what makes Shambhala so great.
Last year I was thrilled when I got the news that Shambhala would be launching a new campaign known as Shambhala Live, an off shoot of their Shambhala Films initiative. Now, the festival has an innovative new edition to add, allowing their fans a chance to experience and appreciate this amazing event in a stunning way. The latest edition of Shambhala Films is a mini-documentary called “Set The Stage”. In this short yet poignant film, viewers are taken behind the scenes to see the amount of effort, skill and love goes into constructing the festival’s six astonishing and unique stages.
Throughout “Set The Stage” we are introduced to the remarkable hard working men and women that devote their time, energy and creativity to building an environment that people absolutely fall in love with. Whenever you return to Shambhala it is affectionately known as “going home.” In this video we can clearly see why this festival has such a tight-knit family oriented reputation. Shambhala’s 20th anniversary will take place on August 11-14 and it is sure to be an incredible time. Tickets for this year’s festival are already sold out but you can navigate the trusted Shambhala Ticket Exchange here on Facebook.
