The Chemical Brothers Tease Fans, New Album Coming
It seems like forever ago that The Chemical Brothers released Further in 2010. That feeling isn’t mistaken though. The five years since its release is the longest such stretch between two albums in the 20 years since the duo’s debut. Fans of the brothers know to be patient. Whenever they do an album they do it right and nobody would have it any other way.
When The Brothers’ shared a 21-second video on Facebook the response was ultimately joyous. Though short, the clip is not from a previously released track, ends right as a synth crescendo breaks into the forefront, and sounds like it’s about to blossom into a psychedelic sonic journey for the ages. Visually the video doesn’t provide any information about a release or title, but the images on screen inspire hope of a corresponding video similar to what was done for the entirety of the Further album.
Basically it’s everything a fan could want in a teaser. The new album will be called Born In the Echoes, and fans are speculating on the single heard in the teaser. A YouTube version of the clip is titled “The Chemical Brothers – Electronic Battle Weapon 11 Teaser” but gives no further information. A Chemical Brothers track titled “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted” appeared on one site listing music releases and said it was scheduled to be out today (4/21) on Universal Records. If that’s the case, we could all be listening to the first single before sundown.
