After an absolutely banner year, New York City’s The Cityfox Experience is pleased to present The Cityfox Odyssey boasting 27 hours of world-class underground acts from 9pm on December 31 to 11:59pm on January 1. This year Cityfox seriously distinguished itself as the premier event brand in NYC. To see the year out in style, Cityfox is once again taking over an entire city block for its massive New Year’s Eve festival.
This event will encompass four stages across multiple rooms with artists such as Andhim, Adriatique, Brian Cid, Heidi, Honey Dijon, Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge, Tale Of Us, WhoMadeWho (Hybrid Set) and many more. For discerning lovers of quality dance music in Brooklyn, The Cityfox’s Odyssey is the place to be this New Year’s Eve and Day.
Welcoming Afterlife mainstays Adriatique, the talented Swiss duo have had an incredible 2018 with the release of their debut album ‘Nude.’ Also on board are “super house” genre creators Andhim as well as No.19 Music label head Art Department, Manjumasi’s very own Atish, Brian Cid who is soon to release his debut LP ‘Meterorite Man’ via Balance Music, and South African producer Culoe De Song. Also on the lineup are Jackathon founder from Canada, Heidi, Mixmag’s No. 2 DJ of 2017, Honey Dijon, and Paradise party starter Jamie Jones who will be tasked with getting the main room rocking immediately after midnight. Innervisions favorite Jon Charnis, All Day I Dream’s ethereal beatmaker Lee Burridge and fast-rising Afterlife and Kompakt star, Patrice Bäumel will also grace The Cityfox Odyssey decks for this New Year’s extravaganza.
Rounding out the impressive lineup are Lossless label founders SBTH(Mathias Schober & Thomas Herb), Afterlife and Life & Death co-creators Tale Of Us, sonic experimentalist Tim Green who just released his debut album ‘Echo’ via Cocoon Recordings, and enthralling Danish indie-dance group WhoMadeWho who will treat attendees to a special hybrid set. Opening sets will come from stalwarts of the New York underground sound: Naveen G, Ray Zuniga & Nikita, Rissa Garcia, and Wild Dark.
Transforming the all-encompassing Avant Gardner which is comprised of The Great Hall, The King’s Hall and The Brooklyn Mirage into an indoor festival space, fans can look forward to a surprise special countdown before the clock strikes midnight. Ticket holders who have attended previous instalments of The Cityfox Experience events either at Halloween 2018 or in past years, will be familiar with the promoter’s high attention to detail when it comes to production. Adding to the stellar experience, the vast venue will be equipped with its signature dazzling lights, crystalline KV2 audio sound system and stunning visual projections. Local Brooklyn food vendors will keep attendees refueled throughout the marathon event and an ambient lounge will cater to those looking for some downtime away from the dance floor. With re-entry permitted, ticket holders are free to celebrate New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day or both in what will be a standout event for underground tastemakers to welcome in 2019 in New York’s nightlife capital, Brooklyn.
