The Disco Biscuits Return to Philadelphia with 3 Night Run
After a several-month absence from the northeast, The Disco Biscuits will finally return to the region in February for a 3-night run in Philadelphia. From February 2-4, the Disco Biscuits will head to Philly’s newest venue The Fillmore, a 2500 capacity venue on Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood.
Hot off their New Year’s Eve run at Atlanta’s The Tabernacle the band is poised to have another memorable run. Fans in the northeast are excited to have The Disco Biscuits back in their backyard. This last New Year’s Eve run in Atlanta was only the second time in a decade The Disco Biscuits have brought in the New Year’s outside of the Philadelphia or New York areas. With no substantial tour on the horizon, geographically concentrated short runs have become Biscuits’ fans only chance to catch the band.
This February’s run follows a similar run around the same time last year at The Fillmore.
Over the past year or so The Disco Biscuits have rebounded from what was surely a low point, following the 2010 wrist injury and subsequent reduction in their once rigorous touring scheduling. The past 18 to 20 months have witnessed several shows, overwhelmingly agreed by fans, to be some of the band’s best music making in years. This, coupled with the introduction of newly written songs, such as “The Champion” into the band’s already expansive repertoire signals continued improvement of the band’s relationship with each other and their performance capacity for fans.
