Elements Lakewood & Arts Festival Announces Sustainable Arts Grant Program
While music festivals provide us with a great escape from the harsh realities of normal life, they can also serve as a model for how the “real” world should operate. Love, community, hard work, creativity and thoughtfulness are the virtues that make up the framework of all great festivals, and can also provide us with a blueprint to a more cohesive society. Elements of festival culture should be more prevalent in mainstream culture.
Elements Lakewood Music & Arts Festival is taking great strides to not only put on a fantastic event and enriching experience but the BangOn! NYC team is also dedicated to impacting real change in its community. With Earth Day coming up on April 22, Elements Lakewood Music & Arts Festival is excited to announce a grant opportunity that observes sustainable art practices. Sculptures, art installations, immersive spaces and interactive art pieces that offer environmentally friendly build practices, educational opportunities and are telling of ecological demands may qualify for a $1,000 grant + 2 comps to the 2019 Elements Festival this Memorial Day Weekend.
Enter to win a $1,000.00 grant to showcase their work at the festival + 2 complimentary tickets to Elements Lakewood 2019.
Indicative of its name, Elements Lakewood is deeply rooted in the natural world so it only makes sense for this event to reward environmentally-focused creatives. It’s incredibly refreshing to see a festival not only incorporate its community but also dispatch a call to action for the whole world to see. Elements Lakewood is blazing a trail in terms of charting new territories for the societal side of music festivals.
