Enchanted Forest: Sexy, Deep, and… Dry!
It’s no coincidence that Enchanted Forest is both an alcohol-free environment and an epicenter for true dialogue about consent, respect, and pleasure. Now in its fifth year, the team behind EF have become experts at pushing cultural boundaries while being finely attuned to the desires of the community. At the heart of all is a deep respect for women. Festival founder, Tulku explains, “We consistently get the reflection from women that they feel safe here and more free to express themselves.” This ethos is reflected in the depth of workshop offerings, which include themes ranging from “Relationships and Sexuality” to “Health and Wellness.”
For those looking to explore relationships, be sure to catch a session with Kristen Rivers, who is leading or co-facilitating three workshops on topics that highlight women’s agency, authenticity, and interconnectedness. Among a full roster of offerings that focus on women and their role in relationships, the standout session is “Be a Sister First,” which sets out to teach “How to care for one another, maintain and even strengthen those girl relationships during dating, mating, and other life transitions.” While the vast majority of sessions are open to all participants, keep an eye out for circles and workshops designed exclusively for women and men.
Enchanted Forest’s workshops have been carefully curated to allow participants to take home the festival’s sexy, saucy vibe. Take a break from the stage to engage in a round of conscious speed dating, learn to make kombucha, and explore new modalities for giving and receiving pleasure. Enchanted Forest’s rich roster of workshops can compete with any of the major festivals, but capped at an intimate 5,000 participants, EF 2016 is designed to foster trust, deep connection, and authenticity – without alcohol as a mediator.
Enchanted Forest takes place from July 22-24, 2016 in the Mendocino Forest. Tickets are still available for what promises to be the sexiest and most soulful weekend of the summer.
