Euphoria Music Festival: Know Before You Go
Euphoria Music Festival is upon us! In a little over two weeks, music lovers and warm weather seekers will be flocking to Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, TX to enjoy one of the first music festivals of the season. Euphoria is unique because it is right on the outskirts of Austin, offering attendees a chance to experience the city while also enjoying amazing musical performances and yoga workshops on the festival grounds.
But, before you can step foot in this wonderful world where your cares melt away, you must prepare. After all, getting ready for a music festival involves thought and careful planning. Making sure you have all your ducks in a row will make your travels and experience that much better.
If you’re headed to Euphoria this April, here are some things to know before you go:
Activate Your Wristband
There is nothing worse than getting to a festival and your wristband won’t register. When you receive your band in the mail, be sure to follow the instructions they sent along with it to activate the chip inside to avoid confusion and stress once you arrive. When you do this, you also have the option to go cashless, which means you can load money onto your wristband so you don’t have to worry about those annoying, massive ATM fees or losing your debit/credit card. It makes life much easier.
Know Your Sleeping Situation
At Euphoria, in order to camp on the festival grounds, you MUST have a camping pass along with your festival pass. The camping pass is for individuals – not group camping like most other festivals. If you have a ticket but no camping pass, don’t worry, the festival’s proximity to Austin makes it easy for you to find a hotel to crash at if you didn’t secure a camping ticket. Most places are walking distance to the festival, and if not, it is only a short cab or Uber ride from wherever you decide to stay.
Bring Sunscreen, Water & Other Necessities
Yeah, we know… it’s April; how hot can it actually get? The answer is VERY. It might still be cool in your part of the state/country, but Austin in April can get pretty hot during the day when the sun reaches its peak. Be smart, bring sunscreen, water and yes, bug spray. Since the grounds are near a river, there will most likely be mosquitos. When you are packing, take your time and don’t wait until the last minute. If you forget something, you can always take a short trip down the road and stop at a store to buy what you need. Just another benefit of this festival’s location.
Be Positive & Have Fun
Euphoria is known to be a festival that attracts awesome, chill people. Go in with a great attitude and an open mind. You never know what will happen when you combine the two and just go with the flow. Contribute to the amazing atmosphere, don’t take away from it. After all, your vibe attracts your tribe!
