Everyone Orchestra in Saratoga Springs to Kick-Off Your July 4th Weekend
July 4th weekend is a stellar time for good food, fireworks, togetherness — and music! And there’s no better way to kick-off your 4th of July holiday weekend than catching Everyone Orchestra performing in Saratoga Springs!
The show is an all-night party, set for Wednesday July 2nd (10:00 PM) and Thursday July 3rd (2:00 AM for any late-comers!) at the Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs, New York; and is a perfect start to herald in the next 3 days of Phish playing at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. For those who haven’t heard about Everyone Orchestra before, this ensemble is lead by Matt Butler, who conducts a rotating list of big name jam band familiars in an evening of entirely off-the-hip, improvisational music. Through the use of helpful cue cards, Matt leads the gang, along with audience participation, in creating something entirely unique for the night’s set, showcasing the exceeding talent these musicians have outside of their tried-and-true personal tracks. Some of the artists that will be featured on July 2nd-3rd are Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico of Moe., Todd Stoops of Kung Fu and RAQ, Natalie Cressman of the Trey Anastasio Band, Nate Edgar of John Brown’s Body, and Nicholas Cassarino of The Nth Power. If you can make it to Saratoga, this is a do-not-miss opportunity to see some of your favorites let loose and create organic sounds for your listening pleasure. It promises to be a fun, enthralling atmosphere. Tickets are still available (and only $20!) so don’t wait!
