Floodwood Tour 2013
All veterans of the music world, Floodwood is a group of musicians who have come together to form a new, progressive americana string rock band bringing a fresh set of acoustic music with the dexterity and chops of seasoned pros.
Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico, [of moe.] spent over 10 years working with the Americana group Al & The Transamericans while Jason Barady recorded and toured with the Bluegrass group Wooden Spoon for over 10 years, as well. After teaching himself violin and bluegrass tunes in festival picking circles and Bluegrass festivals, Nick Piccininni spent 2 years on the road with The Abrams. Bass player Zachary Flietz joined Wooden Spoon recently, playing with both Jason and Nick for the last few years.
Each member has spent over 20 years on all of the biggest stages across the world and are back once again. Floodwood started their first tour earlier this month and anticipates the release of their debut album carrying us delightfully into Fall.
Hoping to reach out to their fans, Floodwood has set up a contest, called “The Pick One to Pick One.” Anyone who donates $10 to the Kickstarter project will be entered for a chance to ‘pick one’ with the band, during a live concert on the Floodwood tour.
