Funkaween 2014: Royal Family Halloween Ball Comes to Philly & NYC
Halloween is right around the corner. Looking for something to do that weekend? Perhaps something a little…funkier than usual? Well have no fear, because the Royal Family and Live for Live Music have you covered. If you’re in the NYC or Philly area, get out your glass slippers folks, because it’s time to make your appearance at the Ball. I’m talking about the funkiest Ball of them all – the Royal Family Halloween Ball, presented by Live for Live Music. Lettuce and Soulive will be doing their traditional Royal Family Ball Halloween-style this year, hitting Terminal 5 in New York City on Friday, October 31 and the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 1.
Previously when Lettuce and Soulive have brought the Royal Family Ball to Philly it has been held at the Theatre of Living Arts, so the Electric Factory is a huge step up for them in this city in terms of capacity. Combine that with the spooky spectacle that is Halloween weekend and this is sure to be one unforgettable show, and a funktacular way to celebrate the holiday. So channel your jazziest, funkiest, most soulful costume, hit up at least one of the two nights, and make this one a Halloween to remember.
For both shows, doors open at 8pm and the show begins at 9pm, with Branx opening for the two co-headliners. You can find tickets and more information about the shows here.
