Glass Animals in Austin 12/17/14
Glass Animals is a name that has been appearing more and more amongst the music scene, and it’s definitely not going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, the band’s song “Gooey” is the number two most starred Spotify track of the entire year 2014.
The Oxfordshire quartet’s exponentially growing success comes as no surprise, due to their raw talent. Glass Animals utilizes mysterious melodies that are polished with seductive vocals and emotionally resonating lyrics. While uplifting, moving and catchy, the sound of Glass Animal’s also flirts with the line of darkness and edginess.
Glass Animals, consisting of Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer and Joe Seaward. are returning to Austin on 12/17/14 to perform at Emo’s. The band has played in Austin for SXSW last year; however, this is their first large headlined tour to land in the self-proclaimed “live music capital of the world”. I’ve listened to recordings of the band a lot within the last few months and can only imagine how incredible the quartet’s live experience will be.
This is definitely a show you do not want to miss if you live in Austin. At the rate the band is growing, this will probably be the most intimate setting that Glass Animals will play again for a while.
Keeper will be direct support for the band and open the show.
Tickets can be purchased now via Emo’s website.
