Gramatik Studio Sessions with BUKU Music + Art Project
Instagram has been an amazing way for festivals to connect with their fans. Everyone is constantly on their phone, often anti-social-ing even in large groups. Many people rely on Facebook, and now Instagram, to get the latest news from their favorite outlets. Earlier this week, the makers of BUKU Music + Art Project wanted to see what it was like to live a day in the life of Gramatik. So, fans got the chance to see a sneak peek of what Gramatik was up to in a series of studio session teasers from their Brooklyn recording session last year on the thebukuproject Instagram. With a total of 10 clips released since Monday, fans can check out little snippets of what it takes to lay down tracks, Gramatik style. Special guests Gibbz, Herobust, and Adam Deitch make an appearance, leading up to a teaser post for Gramatik’s latest release “Grandpa.”
BUKU Music + Art Project drops this weekend at the Port of New Orleans, the heart of the warehouse district that builds the famous floats for Mardi Gras. Unfortunately with an amazing lineup including Gramatik, Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, Bassnectar, STS9 and Die Antwoord, the festival has completely “sold the fuck out.” For those with tickets, Sensible Reason will see you there. If you missed the boat this year, don’t worry we’ll catch all the action so you don’t miss a beat! Check out the first studio clip below.
#BUKU asked me to show you how my day looks like. Today is pretty slow and boring, not really interesting… So we prepared 9 exclusive short clips of our session in Brooklyn studio last year. Check out @gibbzmusic @herobust @deitchadam and @gramatik_lowtemp recording instruments for new collaboration. #gramatik #gibbz #herobust #adamdeitch #studiosession #TOOBUKU #BUKU2015 #BUKUtakeover
