The 8th Annual Great South Bay Music Festival Brings 3 Days of Music and Family Fun to Long Island!
The Great South Bay Music Festival-– the largest “American Themed Music & Arts Festival” on Long Island– returns for its eighth big year, and will again set up on the picturesque waterfront at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village, NY. Some of the highlights will include: the King of the Blues himself, Mr. B.B. King, Moe., Taking Back Sunday, Anders Osborne, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Zach Deputy, Laurie Berkner, and many more!
The festival runs Friday July 18th through Sunday July 20th, and will feature over 55 performers in classic and contemporary rock, pop, jam-band, folk, jazz, blues, country and funk genres, on four stages, including a Children’s Tent and Stage.
Friday, July 18th: Doors are at 4:30PM, till 11pm
Saturday the 19th: 1:00pm – 11PM

Friday kicks off with Long Island indie-rock favorites Taking Back Sunday. Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, and over 9 additional artists on three stages are also playing.
Saturday is roots – jam day! Headlining this year, and returning for their second time, are progressive jam legends, moe.. Also playing Saturday are Conspirator, power-trio London Souls, and The Last Hombres. Also performing are singer-songwriter James Maddock, pioneers of the the jam-band genre Max Creek and Zach Deputy, and an additional 17 performers on four stages.
On Sunday, TGSBF is proud to present the legend, the king of the blues, Mr. B.B. King! Supporting B.B. is the quintessential American band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Also playing are Commander Cody, ska favorites the Scofflaws, Nine Days, Randy Jackson, and over 15 more performers to round out the day.
A family event at heart, a big draw for Great South Bay is the “Educational KidZone,” presenting educational and fun performances, storytelling, puppetry and more all day Saturday and Sunday. Children and parents also love GSB’s “Live Art Wall” where children can dress in their painting clothes and create their own artwork on over one hundred feet of canvas. Paints and brushes will be provided by the festival.
Additionally, the festival is a huge supporter of local charities, and proceeds from the festival will be used to donate to Mater Hospital Breast Cancer Research & Treatment, LI Cares, and the LI Music Hall of Fame. Veteran promoter and event organizer James Faith, a founding board member of the LI Music Hall of Fame, created the festival to offer Long Island “a serious roots-music and art festival, for true music lovers, for the whole family. One that features a diverse lineup of respected, top name original artists, serious emerging original artists, and a higher level of children’s entertainment, in a safe and affordable environment.”
