Groove Out With Balto’s ‘CA LUV’
As summer comes to a close, the time seems ripe for anthems. Pop explosions are bound to happen, and Balto is what you came for. (I’m sorry for that pun.) In all honesty, there is no better way than to end summer with a bangin’ tune. “CA LUV,” according to Daniel Sheron’s interview with Impose Magazine, is “a song about snapshots in time, innocent moments of abandon, staying up all night with new friends – yet aware of how quickly that can turn on you.” Despite the confusion of the scenario, your feet will be twisting and shaking to the righteous tune.
Daniel Sheron is the mastermind behind Balto, with Seth Mower on drums, Luke Beckel on electric guitar and Devon Hoffner on bass. Balto’s first album was conceived when Sheron exiled himself from Moscow and traveled to Siberia. At that point, facing a crisis, music was the escape and the result was the band’s debut, October’s Road. It’s been several years since their initial release and the Americana roots continue to flow freely, finding a home with Sheron.
