Head for the Hills 2016
Next month the one-of-a-kind Head for the Hills Music, Arts, and Brew Festival will once again return to Kerrville, Texas. The festival is a 3 day long event located at the beautiful Quiet Valley Ranch, nestled in the wonderful Texas hill country. This will be the festival’s fourth and will span March 24-26th.
Head for the Hills – also lovingly referred to as Heady Hill – is a spectacular blend of music, workshops, art, and a whole lot of love! Heady Hills aims to ” bridge the gaps between each unique scene that defines us as a whole, and unite us all for one weekend of music, art, community, and healing”. The stacked music lineup ranges from psy-trance to metal and a bit of everything else in-between! There will be 3 music stages, combining the some of the best musical performers around. The headliners include Orzac Tentacles, Kung Fu, Thriftworks and the always funky Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band. (See full lineup in image below)
Aside from the ridiculously amazing musical lineup, there are also over 20+ planned workshops. You can begin your day with a meditation or yoga class, then head on over to a sustainability por permaculture class! This festival is not only about getting funky, it’s also about bettering each attendee – mind, body and soul. There are ample opportunities to learn new things, ideas, skills, art forms, etc – what will you learn at this year’s festival?
This year will even have a unicycle football game on Saturday! Yes – you read that right – UNICYCLE FOOTBALL. Football, on unicycles. What could be more entertaining? The venue has quality bathrooms (finally – a festival without the dreaded porta-potties), showers, food vendors, and lots of other sweet amenities.
Heady Hills holds a special place in my heart as a place where humans can truly come together, get funky, form lasting friendships, and make life-long memories. If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet what are you waiting for?! Head on over to their website (click here) to get your ticket right now! See you in the hills!
