Head for the Hills 2016: Workshops
Head for the Hills Music and Arts Festival is right around the corner, March 24-26th. The festival is held at Quiet Valley Ranch in the scenic hills of Kerrville, Texas. While the one-of-a-kind festival is well known for its amazing music and visual art, it also boasts a lineup of incredible workshops.
Yoga workshops and classes are very popular among the festival goers — and there are plenty of options to choose from at Head for the Hills! Acrobatic Partner Yoga (aka “acro yoga”) is a form of yoga that combines yoga with – you guessed it — acrobatics. It is equally challenging and rewarding, and even gives you the rare chance to “fly” if you’re the one in the air! The Acrobatic Partner Yoga will be lead by Chris and Katrina and will be an absolute blast! If you prefer to stay on the ground, there will also be Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga workshops.
One very unique workshop named “Hasya Dharana – Laughter Concentration Circles with Rick Einstein” is sure to be an absolute blast. From the Head for the Hills website, “Join us for your ritual dose of joy! Laughter will ring from the Heady Hills twice daily as we circle to share bliss, foster community & spread positivity! The best medicine, especially when shared all together, laughter will carry the transformative power of Unity throughout the rest of our lives!” What could be better than laughing and with strangers and friends? This is one great way to release any burdens you are holding on to and just let it all out!
If you’re interested in cleansing and harmonizing your chakras and doing some self-healing you won’t want miss the Moon Mantra Healing & Crystal-infused Aromatherapy workshop! Jade Ogelsby will be teaching attendees how to heal using crystals and aromatherapy as well as how to charge crystals and other items using the moon. Also be sure to swing by the Everyday Essentials class taught by Lilly Lazuili. Lilly will be teaching on how to eliminate harmful toxins from your life by using essential oils. The class will be information based as well as hands on — everyone will have the opportunity to make their own toothpaste, bath salts, and natural cleaners!
There are so many amazing opportunities to learn and play at this festival, and the wide variety of workshops enables each attendee to leave with more than they came with.
