Jordan Alexander Entices With Sweet Single “Take Me Out Tonight”
Hailing from Toronto, the music mecca of the Great White North, singer/songwriter Jordan Alexander is definitely an artist to keep an eye on. For a young woman who only started performing three years ago, Jordan has rapidly risen to prominence. There’s no way that she could not have thought that in such a short amount of time she would be receiving accolades for her live performances and being touted as the “Next Gay Pop Star” by AfterEllen, and picked by DIVAMag as “Queer Ones To Watch in 2016”. Now Jordan has been hand selected by Bif Naked to join her I, Bificus – Songs and Stories Tour.
Now Jordan is ready to take on the world with her upcoming album, The Lonely Hearts Club, and we have her luminous first single “Take Me Out Tonight” to share with you. Showcasing her radiant vocal talents and heart-warming lyrics, Jordan Alexander melts away the winter chill with this vibrant new track. This track’s slick and catchy production sets a perfect platform for Jordan to capture the imagination of the listener. You can close your eyes and just allow yourself to be swaddled in this tune’s captivating aura. While this track is certainly a sweet and serene ballad, Jordan infuses it with a driving energy that draws the listener in.
Jordan’s heartfelt lyrics, catchy choruses, and sultry voice are a staple of her music and are the driving force behind her debut album released in June of 2016. Jordan met Bif Naked and her manager Peter Karroll selling books at Bif’s book launch. Peter now manages Jordan and had her opening for Bif Naked in Toronto at the Adelaide hall May 17th, 2016, and in Ottawa at Mavericks May 18th. Jordan has also opened for UK singer Jess Glynne in 2015, and shared the stage with Tegan and Sara in 2014. As a queer artist in music, Jordan has received tremendous support from the LGBT* community and is set to perform June 17th and 18th in Columbus, Ohio for their pride celebrations and in Toronto July 3rd.
