Knife Party to Play at the Roseland Theater in Portland
The dubstep/electronic/house duo from Australia known as Knife Party is playing at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon on April 17th, 2013 presented by Donnie Disco and Red Cube Entertainment. The electronic group, Damn Foreigners will be playing in support.
The duo Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen first met when they were members of Xygen, a metal band. Until they were first introduced into the drum and bass culture where they along with DJ Paul “El Hornet” Harding created the drum and bass band Pendulum. Pendulum relocated from Perth, Australia into the United Kingdom where their success flourished. Pendulum continued making great music until early 2012 when the band decided to split. Prior to this in 2011 Swire and Mcgrillen started putting tracks on soundcloud for Knife Party. They first performed in August 2011 in Ibiza and had so much fun creating the music for Knife Party they begin releasing more music and going on tours.
Their new EP is to be released in late April and they have been debuting tracks “Power Glove” and “LRAD” at different events such as Holy Ship! and at Ultra Music Festival.
The duo always puts on a great show and at the Roseland Theater where the bass is unhinged so perfect for a show such as Knife Party. Get tickets here today and don’t miss out!
