Kung Fu Debuts New Album, Joyride, On SoundCloud

Connecticut-based funk rock fusion outfit Kung Fu has made their upcoming full length record, Joyride, available to stream for free via SoundCloud during what has already been a hectic 2016 for the band. After closing out 2015 in the Northeast with Dopapod and Turkuaz, the group headed to the west coast to open 2016, playing eight shows in ten days from San Diego up to Seattle. That is not to say the east coast won’t be getting any love as the band recently announced they are slated to perform an album release party on May 13th and 14th at New York’s famed Brooklyn Bowl.

Joyride is the first Kung Fu record to feature Beau Sasser on keyboards, as he took over for Todd Stoops in 2015. His transition into the group was seamless, aided by the fact that guitarist Tim Palmieri and drummer Adrian Tramontano have been playing together since the late 90’s. Kung Fu fans looking for another piece of funk art to add to their collection will surely not be disappointed, as Joyride is a solid effort which has already proven to provide a fantastic live music experience.
