Our favorite “Norweejay,” as Ellen would call him, is still making moves. Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, the Norwegian DJ and producer, better known as Kygo, has not stopped surfacing the news these past few months. His talent has demanded attention, and he is in no way ready for this momentum to come to an end. Surprising us all, yet again, the tropical house luminary “Stole The Show,” The Ellen DeGeneres Show that is, on January 12th, with singer Parson James. The Ellen Degeneres Show averages almost 4 million views per each episode reaching a dissimilar demographic than Kygo is used to, likely capturing a whole new realm of listeners. Kygo’s visuals showed images of space and even a rocket with Ellen’s name across the front. The lights were turned down low showing a crowd full of glowing wristbands to set the scene. James worked the front of the stage serenading the overjoyed crowd as Kygo sent good vibes and energy into the building via his synthesizers and drum combination.
We are anticipating he will continue his reign with his new album set to be released on February 12th, 2016. He wrapped up his two day, sold out, run in San Francisco this weekend. Next, Kygo is headed for his highly anticipated New York City show at Barclays this Thursday. His final Cloud Nine tour appearance in the states to follow on Saturday in Chicago at the Navy Pier.
The duo put on quite the show, gifting the audience with some tropical feels that they all obviously enjoyed. Watch this video below to see Kygo and Parson James vibe Ellen and the audience.
