Kygo Releases Acoustic Version Of New Single “Stay”
Earlier this month, tropical house king, Kygo, dropped his single, “Stay” featuring Matty Noyes and we all went crazy over it. The new single reached over 15 million views in just two weeks. In addition to “Stay” Kygo announced his brand new tour, Cloud Nine, starting January 2016, and was announced as Spotify’s Breakout Artist of the Year on top of becoming the fastest artist ever to reach 1 billion streams, and on December 11th was the first electronic dance music artist to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Kygo reflects on his accomplishments, “reaching this milestone in such a short period of time is really incredible and I’d like to say thank you to each and every person who streamed one of my songs this past year. I’m so happy people have enjoyed listening to my tracks and I can’t wait to share my album with you all early next year.”
We all thought he was done here, and had successfully ended his 2015 with a bang. Well he’s not finished yet. A day after releasing “Stay,” he posted a video to Facebook showing off his classical skills with a beautiful piano rendition of the new single.

With seemingly every single this Norwegian phenomenon releases he somehow comes up with a more incredible acoustic version showing off his variety of musical talents that have stolen our hearts. Earlier this year after the release of “Firestone” he did the same coming out with a beautifully crafted acoustic version shortly after. Turns out him and Matty Noyes had another surprise for fans all along. Two weeks after the drop of Stay, Kygo added another Facebook post releasing his Acoustic version of Stay with Noyes that may be better than the original. The video reached over a million views in less than two days.
Kygo has confirmed that “Stay” will be the final single he will release this year. While waiting for his first tour of 2016 to begin, he will be busy in the studio finishing up his latest album that he revealed will drop on February 12th. In the mean time, watch the video of this Live Acoustic Version of “Stay” and try not to get the feels, these two are unreal.
