LIB and TPA Bring Eco Activism to Bradley, California with Village Action Day
There is power in numbers, and the festival community is known for its undying ability to bring large groups together with fun, creativity and inspiration. It’s easy to leave a festival with the dream of creating a better world, but the tricky part can be determining when and where to start. Do LaB and The Polish Ambassador are two powerful forces teaming together to put the dream of eco activism into fruition with an Action Day.
LIB’s Action Day will take place on Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 at The Village on festival grounds. All early arrival pass holders will be provided the opportunity to make the San Antonio Recreation Center a thriving haven through hands-on permaculture cultivation alongside the world’s funkiest diplomat. Village Action Day participants will exchange skills, learn more about permaculture in classes, and put that knowledge to work on site. Planting native trees, and mulching oak tress to keep the root systems of indigenous plants healthy are some of the many activities that will happen.
The Polish Ambassador’s Permaculture Action Days have become a staple in the music festival community. TPA has hosted many sustainability events in conjunction with festival organizers and alongside tour dates. LiB’s Action Day event is unique from all of these, because it will actually happen on festival grounds instead of a nearby site. Although taking place onsite, the sustainability work done during The Village Action Day will benefit more than just the venue; it will make a lasting positive impact on the greater community of Bradley, California.
Many of us can agree that it is time to start nurturing Mother Earth through sustainability efforts. What better place than to start, and learn these skills than at the greenest festival in North America with the world’s funkiest diplomat? Make sure to purchase an early arrival pass if you want to help make the world a better place with the The Polish Ambassador and the Do LaB at Lightning in a Bottle this year!
