Lightning in a Bottle Creates Unity With Full Yoga Lineup
There is no single definition of yoga, but the practice is known in the west as a system of exercises for mental and physical health. In traditional Vedic Sanskrit, the literal meaning of yoga is “to unite”, which is a central principle of Lightning in a Bottle. It’s no surprise that such a deep-rooted meaningful festival would provide a top-notch yoga lineup to fully harness the reciprocal unity of movement and meditation.
Although Lightning in a Bottle’s music and entertainment lineup was already stacked with stimulation, the geniuses behind The Do Lab delivered an impressive full yoga lineup for LIB 2014, comprised of well-respected yogis from around the world. On the yogi bill includes the likes of Radha & Govind Das, a husband and wife team of Bhakti yogis and Kirtan singers; Joan Hyman, a leader in the LA yoga community; and Gigi Snyder ft. the music of The Human Experience, among many other world-renowned names.
Yoga has continued to be an integral part of the Lightning in a Bottle since its inception in 2012, as it nourishes the body and soul. I’m beyond excited to indulge my inner yogi at Lightning in a Bottle this Memorial Day Weekend, by sharing my practice and learning new vinyasa flows through the workshops led by incredible instructors from all over the world. The combination of nourishing yoga, euphonic music and inspiring art installations is destined to create an all-encompassing transformational experience.
