Lightning in a Bottle Grows with Improvements
Festival season is here and you may have heard, that Lightning in a Bottle is returning to the San Antonio Recreation Area in Bradley, California, the location it was held last Memorial Day weekend. While Lightning in a Bottle is always one of the most popular events of the summer with incredible and innovative music, yoga, and speaker lineups, festival attendants did take notice to the lack of shade and lengthy walks between destinations while out in Bradley. Every festival makes great efforts in listening to their audience wants and needs, and LiB is no exception.
As mentioned on their website, they are improving the festival this year with more shade, a new festival layout, less dust, improved water stations, and are trying to expedite the lines for coming and going. Larger shade structures are being built so that festival attendees can easily find a spot to relax out of the sun when needing a rest, and shade is always a huge plus when attending a festival in a location that is notoriously hot.
Not only is access to drinking water an incredibly important facet of a festival, but LiB is working on adding more water stations to camp grounds as well as throughout the festival grounds to provide people with the much-needed water it takes to fuel the body throughout the period of a festival. Especially one as awesome as Lightning in a Bottle! Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle, or purchase an official LiB water bottle to cut down on plastic waste; the festival asks that guests try their best not to bring plastic bottles into the festival. Oh, and wondering how the festival plans on taming the dust at San Antonio Recreation Area? They’re using the greywater and spraying it on the grounds dust. This team thinks of everything.
Lightning in a Bottle is less than three months away, and what better way to spend your Memorial Day weekend than dancing to musical acts like Flume, Odesza, G Jones, Soulular, and Wu Wei. Don’t forget, this festival isn’t all about the music, it also offers world-class speakers and mind-blowing workshops. This year, expect Dennis McKenna, Neale Donald Walsch, more ecstatic dance opportunities, and a bigger healing sanctuary. What are you waiting for? Buy tickets now and join the community!
