Lotus Set To Ignite 2 Night Run At PlayStation Theater [11/25-11/26]
When it comes to the ever adapting world of dance music the line between live instrumentation and electronic production has become increasingly blurred. Lotus is definitely one band that has paved the way for this inexorable march into sonic innovation. Ever since the Mike Greenfield
By far my favorite jam band and perhaps one of the first artists that truly showed me the limitless nature of electronic music, Lotus has always been a band I make sure not to miss when they come to town. Next week Lotus will be taking over the PlayStation Theater in New York City for a spectacular two night run. On Friday, November 25th and Saturday, November 26th, Lotus will be lighting it up Midtown Manhattan for two and you will definitely not want to miss this!
After years of heavily touring the country, selling out the nation’s best theaters and outdoor amphitheaters, Lotus have amassed a massive following for themselves. What is most exciting about Lotus in my opinion is the band’s ability to seamlessly blend into any situation. Whether standing out as the only instrumental act on an electronic heavy lineup or bringing their unique dance infused beats to a traditional rock atmosphere, Lotus can adapt and excel in any environment. Lotus’ eclectic style and genre bending approach has made the group one of the most well known and respected names in the world of live music.
The band’s latest album, Eat The Light, is a phenomenal first for them. For the first time Lotus featured live vocals on every single track of their new full length album. With a wide ranging appeal, Eat The Light beams with a rambunctious energy. Guest singers appear throughout ranging from soulful to indie and electronic to rock. Check out Eat The Light by Lotus below. Grab your tickets to their 2 night run at the PlayStation Theater right here!
