Mamby on the Beach Announces 2018 Lineup
Mamby on the Beach is one of the few 2-day festivals in Chicago. But don’t let its length fool you, Mamby packs a party bunch and the beach is right at your feet. From hip-hop to indie to electronic, this festival has always had a diverse lineup that pleases most. The festival’s Tiki theme wraps it all in a unique package that few could forget. Held at Oakwood Beach June 23 &24, Mamby enters into another year of music, art, and community. The 2018 lineup dropped today and we can’t wait to see more.
This year’s lineup includes Common, Russ, Cold War Kids, Spoon, Richie Hawtin, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, Whethan, Grizzly Bear, Tune-Yards, St. Lucia and tons more. As if those headliners weren’t enough, Mixmag and Beatport are taking over the massive DJ Tent and bringing the likes of Nora En Pure, Dixon, Jai Wolf, Vanic and more.
Mamby has always been more than a music festival. The sense of art and community spreads far at this festival with art installations, volleyball, a water balloon fight, yoga, nutrition and wellness workshops, beautification stations, poetry slams, a variety of local food vendors, and more. This year’s Mamby also expands into the community. The Community Village will host a stage featuring talent from Young Chicago Authors and other surrounding neighborhoods.
