Manic Focus Announces New Album – First Single Out Now
Minnesota native, John McCarten, aka Manic Focus, has been tearing up the electro-funk scene from coast to coast. His signature soul-funk sounds like it comes from space, but he’s a grounded artist that is extremely down to Earth. This Midwest producer never fails to get his audience moving. Manic Focus just announced that he’ll be coming out with a new album on April 21st. It’s called Minds Rising, which is a perfect name for what happens when people listen to his grooves. The first single, “Stronger,” off the new album dropped on Friday, and we can’t help but put it on repeat.
“Stronger” is a perfect example of artist collaboration. Two heads are better than one, and this track has more than four. Featuring Late Night Radio, Jennifer Hartswick, and Adam Deitch, “Stronger” has a full sound from the beginning. Hartswick’s powerful vocals are the glue that holds the haunting drum riffs together with the space-age funk in the background. The track builds and bounces around, guaranteeing it a powerful single to be played on this Spring’s festival circuit. Check it out at the top of the page, and stay tuned for more singles. The full album, Minds Rising, comes out April 21st.
