New EP from Zebbler Encanti Experience
Prepare yourself for a mind-altering trip through a sonically-saturated outer space. A new EP from Zebbler Encanti Experience called Freakquency has been released on the Gravitas Recordings label. This EP is a pay-what-you-want download and is out TODAY.
This five-track, psychedelic journey packs the patented ZEE punch of psytrap with a new level of manic danceability that left me in a little bit of shock…but also completely addicted. The dynamic range of sounds, effects, and the almost palpable texture of these tracks makes the listening experience incredibly active. There are moments of tension and confusion followed by a release that still perpetuates the track forward. As a listener, I am on the tip of my toes, and I am deep inside the beat.
Each track brings something entirely different. This is my favorite aspect of this EP; it’s a tasting plate of so many moods. If you choose — as I did — to listen to it straight through, take a moment of silence to mentally ready yourself before diving headfirst into the opening track, “Follow the Bubbles.” It is a high-octane, five minute adventure with an effervescent melody and a buoyant bassline. This energy continues on through the next track, “Freakquency,” which takes the mania of the first track to an almost unbearable high. It is entirely too danceable to be contained inside a single room. This is a track worthy of a convention hall-sized dance floor, and calls for about six neon-clad gogo girls and one giant twerking panda. Just listen to it, you’ll see what I mean.“Immediacy ft Ganavya” slows things down (relatively speaking) with motifs from the east. Percussive yet sultry, it has an enchanting groove that brought me in and kept me there. The proceeding track, “Neuron Dialect,” is a darker, more glitchy track that contrasts bold synth themes with staccato breaks. The EP concludes with “Perceptrounium,” which strikes a balance between the preceding deeper-toned tracks and the overall energy of the tracks as a whole.
Keep your eyes peeled for corresponding videos for these tracks. Each is expected to have its own visual experience. You can also catch these guys on tour — they are crisscrossing around between festivals and various venues!
Listening to this EP (nonstop) has amped me up so much for seeing these geniuses at Gratifly. This fest is just 10 days away and will be hosting these guys. I am stoked out of my braincase for the full-on Zebbler Encanti Experience.
