Next Week in Brooklyn: A Special Tribute to Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’

Turbo Suit, the 3-piece jamtronica band that we here at Sensible Reason have come to love, will be performing an exclusive tribute to Nirvana with special guests next Thursday 10/22 in Brooklyn. Bassist Ryan Stasik of Umphrey’s McGee will be joining them to bring an extra dimension of rock-expertise. Word has it, producer and vocalist David Embry has been brushing up on his guitar skills, and we can only guess how saxophonist Nicolas Gerlach and drummer Jeff Peterson will give this unique tribute its own Turbo Suited-flare.

One of the most recognizable album of the 90’s, Nirvana’s “Nevermind” will be played in its entirety at The Hall MP, a new concert venue and restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg. This is the first and only performance of its kind. Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased here.

As a fledgling band now in their 3rd year, Indianapolis-based Turbo Suit combines the ingenuity of the jam band scene with the visceral energy of electronic music and it’s many sub-genres. With the help of larger bands who believe in them and innovative management devoted to keeping fans on their toes, Turbo Suit will surely continue to make a name for themselves across the country.
