Odesza Is Better Than Ever At CRSSD
CRSSD Fest at Waterfront Park came back for the second year this March 5th and 6th! Selling out all weekend passes and day passes there was no doubt this would be a weekend to remember! Odesza loved CRSSD Fest so much last year, they’re back and fans couldn’t be happier. The magic all began in Seattle, Washington when Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight formed in 2012. Now only four years later this electronic drum and bass duo are playing live shows and headlining festivals all over the world, including CRSSD Fest.
Wowing the crowd this previous March as a pre-headliner, they returned to the Ocean View Stage, and was the most anticipated headliner of the weekend. Gesaffelstein warmed the crowd up with his techno beats. A sea of people flooded the main stage after Tiga and Ben UFO and waited a half-hour for Odesza to start. Although waiting in the rain, the crowd couldn’t be more excited for the set that was about to take place. Odesza walked on stage and in such a welcoming fashion thanked the festival goers for their support and waiting in the rain. Not just your typical DJs, Odesza played with a live band and a whole trumpet section. Their stage production was very well set up. Between the music and their incredible visuals was a beautiful aura all around. With such a fire set with hits like “Say My Name,” “I Want You,” “All We Need,” and “Bloom” they proved their headliner status worthiness. The fans couldn’t help but sing and dance to the feel good music that is Odesza. They ended shy of 11PM with a dirty dubstep remix that left us begging for more. What a mash up of elements rain, earthy beats, and a fire set to blow the crowd out of the water.
Not only did Odesza perform at CRSSD Fest that weekend but they also flew out to Okeechobee Music Festival in Florida to perform Sunday. To say these guys are dedicated to their fans is an understatement. If you haven’t gotten a chance to catch a live Odesza set, what are you waiting for?
