OPINIONS are in: Dorfex Bos is Next in Line to Redefine Modern Electronic Music
Melancholy yet energized, rigid and animalistic yet pristinely seamless, Dorfex Bos manages to cohesively weave together a multitude of characteristics in his art - an attribute that conveys the concept of him becoming the Flying Lotus of our era.
After a long winter’s rest, reclusive low-end architect Dorfex Bos has announced the arrival date of his highly-anticipated OPINIONS EP, going live on May 4th. The phrase “patience is a virtue” has never been more appropriate, as this will be Bos’ first multi-track release in quite some time. Rest assured this 4-track project is sure to be more than worth the wait when it drops, as is everything that the Brooklyn bass connoisseur pours his heart and soul into.
Having maintained elusive in his appearances up until late last year, Tursi has been grinding away in the studio perfecting his craft and embracing his brand. One listen to the Skin Cycle Vol. 1: Warped Horizon Mixtape and you’re immediately engulfed in the wonderfully weird complexities of Bos’ musical approach, a winding rabbit hole of bellowing bass music with influences deeply rooted in low frequency underground sound. Melancholy yet energized, rigid and animalistic yet pristinely seamless, Dorfex Bos manages to cohesively weave together a multitude of characteristics in his art – an attribute that conveys the concept of him becoming the Flying Lotus of our era.
Other notable performances include a riveting set at Fractal Beach, and who could forget, a Sunday night Incendia session at the most recent Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival – an outrageous throwdown where Tursi treated us to a show comprised of all original material – an experience that is extremely rare in festival culture nowadays. That supremely stunning set left attendees jaws-on-the-sand, and only furthered Tursi’s reputation as a master of live audiences, mesmerizing patrons from beginning to end.
You can catch Dorfex Bos at one of his upcoming shows in St. Louis (4/27 @ Bass Ball), Atlanta (5/5 @ Aisle 5), Orlando (5/20 @ The Geek Easy), Lakewood, PA (5/25-5/27 @ Elements Lakewood Fest), and at Bassnectar’s Freestyle Sessions Summer Gathering (6/2 Broomfield, CO). Once his OPINIONS EP officially drops, you do not want to miss out on the chance to delve deep into the vortex that is Dorfex Bos – so check out the official site of Angelo Tursi to keep yourself in the know.
