Get Ready for Orange Blossom Jamboree 2016
If you are spending the last week of 2015 working out your 2016 festival schedule, you might want to go ahead and block off May 19-22nd for Central Florida’s Orange Blossom Jamboree. In its 7th year at the Sertoma Ranch in Brooksville, FL, OBJ is bringing in over 60 bands to light up 4 stages for a weekend celebrating some of the best music that Florida has to offer.
Since 2010, the Florida festival has continued to grow and diversify year after year. This year’s stacked line-up, released earlier this week, is no exception. Featuring bands from all over the Sunshine State, OBJ organizers have brought together a diverse group of artists ranging from Latin Funk headliners Suenalo, and Orlando’s Beebs and Her Money Makers and psychedelic soul powerhouse Kaleigh Baker, to guitar great Bobby Lee Rogers and hometown ukulele funk favorites The Applebutter Express, and many, many more.
Some other line-up highlights include St. Petersburg’s Rock/Jazz Fusion crew Justino & The Difference, Serotonic, Herd of Watts and Holey Miss Moley holding down the Jazz/Funk bench, Orlando’s Afrobeat collective Bengali 600, and Jam/Rock favorites Row Jomah, Displace, and Come Back Alice.
Orange Blossom Jamboree has become a favorite summer tradition for musicians and music lovers alike who flock to the ranch each May to get down to some serious music with friends who become family. If you have not been lucky enough to become acquainted with the unique live music and festival scene that has been developing throughout Florida over the past few years, you will be hard-pressed to find a better introduction than a weekend at the Jamboree.
Tickets and RV sites go on sale January 15. Stay tuned for additional details including artist highlights and free track downloads as the date approaches, and be sure to check out OBJ’s official website for the complete line-up and fore more information (http://www.orangeblossomjamboree.com).
