Preview: Unknown Music Festival in Croatia in September
This September “journey to the beautiful town of Rovinj in Croatia and find yourself submerged in a hedonistic and immersive paradise.” A new festival from the people behind events like Hideout, the Warehouse Project and Field Day will take place for five days in the gorgeous port city of Rovinj, Croatia situated on the Adriatic Sea. The location is paradisiacal, the lineup is brimming with leading global artists and the accommodations don’t require festival goers to “rough it.”

About the Festival
A message from the festival themselves: Stumble across mysterious and bespoke design projects, interweaved with some of the most forward thinking music, combining an abundance of live acts, band performances and DJ sets. Where strangers become friends and creativity prevails, prepare to resonate the inner most sphere of your imagination.
Surrounded by forest adjacent to the beach, all-festival accommodation is situated on the event site and you will be able to book whatever habitat you desire, directly from us. Maybe you’re a primitive soul and prefer to camp under the stars? Perhaps you’re the type for your own forest lodge or a 4* apartment that overlooks the Adriatic Sea? Well we have it all, with an array of options to suit every need.
Mad Ferret Productions, the creative directors for the festival, are also providing grants of 1,000BP or $1,488 USD for projects at the festival: Whether you’re an artist looking to create a sculpture or a performer looking to show off your talent, we might just have a slot for you. Simply follow this link to apply. We look forward to seeing what you got.”
Accommodations range from affordable shaded woods camping plots ($15 USD a night), to fully furnished “forest lodge” mobile homes, to 4* apartments for 4 or 6 people. All Unknown accommodations are onsite at the festival, near swimming pools, bars, restaurants and the forest adjacent to the sparkling beach. Weather should be perfect in September in Rovinj, around 60°F at night and mid 70°F during the day making camping under the stars a totally viable option.
Tickets are incredibly reasonable, with package options including five days of camping. There is also a “deposit scheme” in which festivalgoers can pay on an incremental plan with the last payment due June 1.
