Psycho Disco! Presents Debut Label Compilation: Psych 101
When you think of dope of house music, the first city that springs to your mind probably isn’t Atlanta. The sound that became a staple of the underground culture in Chicago, Detroit, and New York City decades ago has evolved and adapted throughout the years. The west coast has become a hotbed of house music with the rise of labels like Claud VonStroke’s Dirtybird taking the scene by storm. However now the Atlanta-based record label Psycho Disco! is ready to stake a claim in the world of funky house.
Since the label’s formation in 2015, Psycho Disco Records has made it it’s job to curate and cultivate a unique and innovative sound that all true house aficionados can fall in love with. While based in Atlanta, Psycho Disco! has scoured the globe in search of the best artists they can find. From New York to London, this array of artists have showcased their eclectic electronic flavors with the label. Now, Psycho Disco! is ready to unveil their first ever label compilation, Psych 101.
Having recruited label associates Codes, ZDS, Fritz Carlton, Brex, 909 Til Infinity, Ghettoblaster, Grensta, and Aaron Lainez, the Psych 101 compilation delves deep into the trenches of house music fundamentals. Kicking things off, label head and founder Treasure Fingers sets the tone with “Let The Drums Bang.”
The Pyscho Disco! head honcho paves the way for this sizzling collection of original tracks. Forget that shot of espresso, Psych 101 is just the boost you need. This eight track compilation is the punch to the frontal lobe to send your night into overdrive.
If you listen to house music 24/7 then you need this album in your life. If you are just in the mood for something different then Psych 101 is the perfect injection of flavor. Check out the full album on the Psycho Disco Soundcloud.
