Music festivals attract people from all across the country.The locals are usually wary of tourists. It’s human nature, the strange and unknown often carries fear. Hosting a festival can be difficult for locals, and often the tourists come and leave without any chance to care about their surroundings. Yet, once strangers have a chance to get to know each other, the comfort of the familiar begins to grow. Friends can only be made when we open up and get acquainted. RIDE Festival in Telluride, CO wants to give everyone a chance to explore. RIDE Festival breaks the mold. The festival allows festival attendees a chance to really get to know this small mining town. Held at Telluride Town Park July 8 & 9, the festival boast headliners Beck and Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals. In addition, The John Butler Trio, Kaleo, Rival Sons and more. But the festival in the park ends not soon after sundown. The Night RIDE allows festival attendees to do a little bar hopping and get to know Telluride.
The Night RIDE starts on Friday, July 7th, a day before the official festival. Held at a handful of unique venues in the area, people are encouraged to explore around. No need to stay in one spot too long, get your shoes a little dirty and meet new folks in taverns and saloons.
